How to Register Your Business Name in Nigeria With CAC.

The following steps will guide you on how to register your business name in Nigeria CAC. 

Step one: visit www.cac.gov.ng click on PUBLIC SEARCH and enter your propose Business name on the search box then click on I am not a robot, then click on search. This step is necessary to check if your business name has     not been used by other people.

 Step Two: visit www.services.cac.gov.ng  click on create an account and fill all the information correctly using the business owner details. Don’t use your name etc if you are not the owner of the business name that you intend to register. If you have successfully created the account you should get this 

 ‘Your portal account has been successfully created and email notification have been sent to…’ copy your password and click on the link has you have been directed.

Step Three: Change your password from the default password to your prefer password. Click on I Agree. Then proceed to change your password see the picture below respectively 

 

Step four: Enter your propose business name and click on Proceed. See the picture below

Step Five: click on classification and select Business name click on company type and select Business name, Reason For Availability select new incorporation, General Nature Of Business. Select nature of your business form the drop menu. You can only select one. Then click on next   

  

Step Six: proceed by completing the next questions (ADDITIONAL INFORMATION) then click on next to take you to the next step. See the picture below 

Step Seven: this is where you make your first payment to C.A.C.  Pay with your ATM Card (DON’T SELECT ANY OTHER PAYMENT OPTION) click on your prefer card click on next and enter your card details. Then click on Ok. If your payment is capture you will see successful if not you will see failed
